It is a large and beautiful tree of the Guyanese forest is named snake wood.
It does not attract the reptile. It's just a timber composed of coarse fibers of a deep yellow, mottled with irregular large spots which sometimes take the form of dark brown iridescent streaks of darker shades.
The snake wood is a Mimosaceae.
Its fruit is a pod that has a large flat Bean strongly arched appearance.
The wood is hard and dense.
Between its technical characteristics, its appearance and low density in the category of precious wood.
