Small series production made by hand, with the desire to create nothing but a beautiful piece of work.
This is a return to the first Laguiole knives, when each knifemaker decorated the spring to his own taste.

Did you know ? Our forefathers favoured horn over wood, thinking it was a tougher material. Strictly speaking, it all depends on which type of wood you choose to compare to animal horn!
It is also generally thought that black horn is harder than its white counterpart. This probably stems from the animal it originally comes from, the buffalo, but again, it all depends on your personal tastes. Dark horn comes in shades ranging from dark beige to uniform black.
Important: Make sure that you always select handles made from horn tips, they are far more robust than those made of pressed horn (hollow base of the horn, which is used in pressed sheets, to make combs or certain inlays in knife making…) In fact pressed horn is more sensitive to heat and humidity and may become flaky over time.

Beautiful piece of artwork/craftmanship. I am very pleased. Once the Covid 19 restrictions are lifted I will be showing the knife to Brothers at my Lodge.
