The 11 cm model fits any size of hand
(Closed length: 11 cm/ Opened length: 20 cm)
whilst the 12 cm is more suitable for a man’s hand.
(Closed length: 12 cm/ Opened length: 22 cm)

Olive wood comes from Mediterranean climes. It is very hard in texture, has a tight fibre and a superb polish. It is yellowish in colour with brown veins.


Remember that wood is a living material, olive wood therefore acquires a patina and changes with time and use. It is therefore unrealistic to expect to maintain the wooden knife handle in a like-new condition.


You can, of course, keep your olive wood handle (and blade, for that matter) looking its best with a minimum amount of care and attention. This will allow you to keep your Laguiole knife with olive wood handle in excellent condition for many years to come.
