The 9 cm model slips into any purse or pocket.
Closed length: 9 cm, opened length: 17 cm
The 11 cm model fits any size of hand.
Closed length: 11 cm, opened length: 20 cm
The 12 cm is more suitable for a man’s hand.
Closed length: 12 cm, opened length: 22 cm

Horn is natural and will dry with time, revealing a fibrous aspect.

But don't worry, you can avoid that simply by regularly oiling your knife handle, just like wood.

If you have a weather-worn knife, lightly sand it using extra-fine sand-paper (P400), before polishing it and then nourish it with oil such as flax.

Tip: to keep your horn handle as shiny as new, never leave your knife in water or expose it to high temperatures (>50°C). Clean your knife with a damp cloth rather than under running water and, of course, never put it in the dishwasher.

I now own two of these, one is the 9cm size, the other 11 call me. I’ve had the 9cm knife a number of years now, and it’s only becoming more beautiful with time as the black horn ages and patinas. It serves well as a pipe tamper. The blade is good for cleaning a pipe, and the stainless steel blade holds a good edge and sharpens easily. It’s been everyday carry since received. I now have the larger 11cm version and the black horn handle has a nice contrasting color area in the center on one side. I can’t wait to see it with age, wear and patina. It’s easier to fish out of my pocket, as I carry a front-pocket wallet, and this knife stays vertical alongside my wallet within easy reach. The smaller knife isn’t retired, but depending on which jeans or other trousers I wear, I’ll select one or the other. Heirloom quality. Unless lost, these are keepers, for sure! Outstanding quality and workmanship.

Sharp! As an edc, though, I'll specify carbon over stainless on my next laguiole. It's too pretty to use!
