Olive wood comes from Mediterranean climes.It is very hard in texture, has a close fibre and a superb polish. It is yellowish in colour with brown veins.
Recommendations for care:wood is a living material; olive wood therefore acquires a patina and changes with time and use. It is therefore unrealistic to expect to maintain the wooden knife handle in a like-new condition.
N.B.: You should never leave your olive wood-handled utensils to soak in water, as they will turn black. Simply wipe with a paper towel after use and use a soft cloth to polish them to a shine. Treating them in this way will keep them looking close to their original state for many years to come.
