The 11 cm model fits any size of hand: closed size
(Closed length: 11 cm/ Opened length: 20 cm)

The 12 cm is more suitable for a man’s hand
(Closed length: 12 cm/ Opened length: 22 cm)

A parasitic fungus gives it its dark  black color but it's originally gray. Its natural appearance is very smooth and glistening. Ebony comes mainly from Africa and it's becoming increasingly rare.

It is known that Egyptians used the wood to make small valuable objects.

From the twelfth century ebony was used for the design of chess sets or musical instruments such as  flute or oboe.

Generally every thing is fine. Few minor flaws here and there (couple of rivets not completely polished, blade sharpening is so so). But for the price tag the quality is OK
